I have recently done a presentation and demonstration on the use of traditional Chinese baby carrier.
Since then I have been getting requests from lots of people who are fascinated by Chinese culture and would love to learn more!
So I decide to have a go and organise a workshop on Chinese writing system. Here is the workshop information:
Introduction to Chinese writing
At this workshop, we will discover the beauty of Chinese writing. We will cover the history of Chinese writing, how to read and write basic Chinese. Of course, you won’t be fluent with Chinese at the end of this workshop but you will be able to recognise some basic element of Chinese writing. Next time you see a signage in Chinese or a menu in a restaurant, you will be able to know what you are looking at. You might even be able to do some good guess what is what. We will also cover some basic most commonly used words when you travel, e.g. immigration, bathroom, cashier, etc.
The price includes:
- Writing material
- A peek into this beautiful ancient culture
- Ability to recognise some Chinese writing next time you look at a signage and some items on a menu
- You will take home with you a piece of beautiful Chinese writing done all by yourself! You can use it to decorate your house!
- A cup of Chinese tea and some Chinese treats!
